Wild and Sturdy
Meet Kimberlea
My yoga journey began in 2005, born out of a need to create balance and stability amidst the chaos of raising four incredible, unique, and challenging children. Their needs catalyzed my search for peace and self-discovery—enter yoga.
Yoga not only healed my heart and transformed my relationship with myself, but it also brought harmony to my life. I knew early on that this was more than a practice; it was my calling. In 2008, I traveled to Rishikesh, India, where I completed my initial 200-hour teacher training at the Inland School of Yoga, immersing myself in the birthplace of yoga.
Now, with over 15,000 teaching hours, and over 1000 hours of yoga training I bring an unparalleled depth of experience to my classes. My training includes advanced certifications through Yoga Medicine, with specialties in Women’s Reproductive Health, Yoga Anatomy, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Neurobiology of Yoga, and Mental Health, Orthopedics of the spine, hips and shoulder. I also hold certifications in Acrobatic Arts (Levels 1 and 2) and have a unique passion for making inversions and hand-balancing accessible to anyone.
What to Expect in My Classes
My teaching style is rooted in inclusivity and innovation. Whether you're practicing chair yoga, tackling advanced asanas, or exploring mindfulness techniques, my classes meet you where you are. I emphasize alignment, thoughtful modifications, and sustainability, creating a practice that supports you for a lifetime.
But my classes go beyond the poses. As I often tell my students, “The poses are all gimmicks to get you here. Yoga is truly about the breath, your heart’s alignment, your energy, and mental clarity—all the unseen parts of you."
Yoga isn’t about touching your toes or achieving a perfect posture—it’s about self-awareness. What are you learning about your patterns, your inner dialogue, or your reactions to challenges? Those answers are the true practice.
My Philosophy
My purpose is to teach wholeness through yoga. To bring practices that inspire and create curiosity. To unite the body-moving center, the heart-the feeling center, and the mind-perception center. Yoga is for those who seek a deep structure that helps order the chaos of life and gives you the presence to revel in the beauty through heightened presence and devotion.
Let’s move, breathe, and discover together.
